The permanent detective service of Kripo Traunstein immediately took over the investigation.

As things stand, the 74-year-old started as the last of a group of six from the launch site for hang-gliders on Jenner.

At the time of the accident, there were hang gliders as well as paragliders in the air, but they were taking off from a lower take-off site.

Call for witnesses after the hang-glider accident at Königssee

The investigators of the Traunstein Police Force ask for evidence of witnesses.

Other aviators who were in the air at the time of the crash may have video recordings made with their helmet cameras.

These video recordings could give the police important information to clarify the cause of the crash.

Of course, we also ask for further information from, for example, hikers.

If you have any information, we will give you the opportunity to contact the Traunstein criminal police on 0861 / 9873-0.
