Five months after completely leaving the European Union, the United Kingdom continues its conquest of new trade allies.
He concluded a free trade agreement with Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein on Friday.
As such, he will be able to export his cheddar there without customs duties, which previously reached up to 277%.
The agreement also includes rate reductions in pork, poultry, certain fish and shellfish, and provides for mutual recognition of professional qualifications.
It will lead to a
"major boom in our trade"
with these three partners, rejoices the British Minister for International Trade, Liz Truss, or 21.6 billion pounds (25 billion euros) last year, compared to nearly 500 billion euros with the EU .
For the most part, these are exports from Norway to the United Kingdom, its largest trading partner.
