In January, Facebook temporarily blocked the account of former US President Donald Trump.
Now it will be temporarily at least two years.
The Internet company announced on Friday.
Then you will weigh up with the help of experts, whether there is still a risk to public safety through his Facebook presence.
Trump was banned from the social network after storming the Capitol on January 6.
He had expressed sympathy for the attackers online.
He also continues to claim, without any evidence, that his presidential election victory in November was stolen by fraud.
He heated up the tension.
Facebook had suspended Trump's account until further notice and then submitted this decision to its independent supervisory body for review, which can reverse such steps.
The panel complained that the Facebook rules did not provide for an indefinite ban and instructed the online network to re-examine the case.
Now Facebook suspended Trump for two years.
The deadline runs from the beginning of January this year - correspondingly until the beginning of 2023.
In addition to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube had also blocked Trump's channels shortly before the end of his term in office.
Trump's Twitter account, with more than 80 million followers, was by far the president's most important communication channel until he was blocked.
