Discussion on the Munich-Mühldorf railway expansion (ABS 38): In the Wörth municipal council, the railway team informed Alexandra Kratsch, Sven Kluba and project manager Max Cibis about the current planning situation and answered questions from the committee.

"We have dealt intensively with rail issues for years," said Mayor Thomas Gneißl (ÜPWG) at the meeting.
A consensus has now been reached in the area of the level crossing on Stalleringer Strasse.
Gneißl commented critically that the railway was "not very cooperative" to find a solution with the Hörlkofener carpentry company affected by the railway expansion when it came to a possible relocation of businesses.

They are also "extremely unhappy" with the planned large bridge structure on Rottmanner Strasse.
In the end, the local council resignedly decided to “go with the preferred option of the train”.
The Rottmann road bridge would mostly affect Walpertskirchen municipality area.
The structure with the embankment area "will intervene intensively in the compensation area of the Gewo company", continued Gneißl.
Negotiations are to be held as to who will take care of the bridge in terms of road construction and maintenance.
The building at this point is "unfortunate" for Walpertskirchen, said Gneißl.
Project manager Max Cibis referred to the relief for the community in the removal of level crossings on the same level as a result of the amendment to the Railway Crossing Act.
"The one-third burden for the community is eliminated," confirmed Gneißl.
The Rottmann road bridge “costs the municipalities nothing to buy”.
However, there will be “a big discussion” about the maintenance obligation, since it represents a successor burden.
Soundproofing for the individual houses and hamlets
The municipality is also concerned about the isolated houses and hamlets, which also need to be protected.
Vice-Mayor Ulla Dieckmann (SPD) addressed the planned four-meter-high soundproof wall through Hörlkofen, "which cuts the place up".
What is needed is “good design” and a solution that “best protects people”.
Regarding the noise protection walls, the project manager of the railway informed that normally an aluminum wall in green or gray is installed, "if no statement is made".
The community can have a say in the design.
Cibis referred to the dichotomy between noise protection and wall effects: transparent elements could be integrated, "but the absorption of the sound is not so good".
Noise or loss of light, that was the crucial question here.
Trains with up to 200 km / h
Dieckmann also asked about the train speeds.
“We go up to 200 km / h,” replied Cibis.
This applies to long-distance traffic, which is then to be routed through Hörlkofen in order to relieve the burner inlet route.
In addition, the two-track electrified expansion is intended to improve the local transport offer and secure the train connections from the chemical triangle.
Michaela Eckmayer (ÜPWG) wanted to know whether one could look at a comparable railway line in order to get a realistic impression of the background noise and operation.

Petra Schletter (Greens) asked about passive noise protection, such as soundproof windows, with a view of the dense development in Hörlkofen.
The answer was that the right to this would be checked.
