Argentina recorded 539 deaths and 30,950 new infections with the Corona virus during the past 24 hours.
And Agence France-Presse quoted medical sources as saying that “the total number of cases of corona in Argentina amounted to about 4 million, deaths 80,411 cases, and there are currently 7,668 people in intensive care departments in hospitals.”
According to official data, Argentina recorded at the end of last year about 43,000 deaths, and since the beginning of 2021, this number has almost doubled.
And Argentine President Alberto Fernandez announced yesterday that his country will start producing the Russian (Sputnik V) vaccine against Covid 19, after he held a video meeting with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.
Argentina has given 10.4 million doses of vaccine against the Corona virus so far, including Sputnik, AstraZeneca and Sinopharm.
