The end of the holiday is approaching - and it is construction time again in the district: As of Monday, June 7th, three projects on national routes are on the program, some of which will cause obstructions on the federal highways.

Construction site on B2 in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district: Farchant tunnel
Every year again: Maintenance work is due in the Farchanter Tunnel on Bundesstraße 2. In the eastern tube in the direction of Munich, there will be obstructions from Monday.
The Weilheim State Building Authority has commissioned work on the extinguishing water system.
"They are urgently needed," emphasizes Nadine Heiss, department head for the district in the Weilheim building authority.
This is the only way to ensure traffic safety for the tunnel.
The east tube does not have to be completely closed, it is only reduced to one lane.
It starts on Monday around 7.30 a.m., the end of the construction site is currently planned for Wednesday around 5 p.m.
The west tube in the direction of Garmisch-Partenkirchen is not affected by the work.
B23 Oberammergau: closed due to rock work
There will be repeated disabilities next Monday and Tuesday (June 7th / 8th) on Bundesstraße 23 south of Oberammergau.
There the rock wall at the bear cave is checked for traffic safety and loose material is removed.
"This could cause rock material to lie on the B23," he emphasizes.
Therefore, there are 15-minute full closures in both directions on both days from 7.30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“For safety reasons, the work can only be carried out in daylight.” After the brief full closures, traffic lights will regulate the traffic at the construction site.
Fernpass and Ehrwald: three days full closure
In the further course of the B23 beyond the Tyrolean border, there will also be impairments in the coming week.
Asphalting work is pending on the B187 from the border to Ehrwald, but the decision to start it will not be made until Monday.
There is talk of three days of full closure between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Further on in the direction of Fernpass, the B179 is affected: there, rockfall protection fences are being erected in the Biberwier municipality near the Blindsee.
The route will only be passable in one lane until mid-August.
