Tehran-Sana
Iranian Security Minister Mahmoud Alavi announced that the necessary security measures have been taken to hold the presidential elections scheduled for the 18th of this month.
Fars news agency quoted Alawi as saying in a statement: “There is complete coordination between all the security, intelligence, judicial, military and political forces to hold enthusiastic and sound elections, without side events, and with broad popular participation.”
He considered that the maximum participation in the upcoming elections embodies the power and loyalty of the Iranian people to their country and the strengthening of its ability at the international level, pointing out that the widespread popular participation in the elections would spread despair among the enemies and consolidate Iran's pride and dignity.
The Iranian Presidential Election Commission recently announced the final list of candidates whose eligibility for these elections has been confirmed by the Guardian Council.
