The world number 5 Stefanos Tsitsipas ended up muzzle the great American server John Isner (34th) in four sets 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (7/3), 6-1 to reach the round of 16 on Friday evening. Tsitsipas, winner of his first Masters 1000 in Monte-Carlo in mid-April, and coming close to beating Rafael Nadal in Barcelona, then Novak Djokovic in Rome during the tour on clay, will face the Spaniard Pablo Carreño Busta (12th ) for a place in the quarter-finals. The young Greek (22 years old), who did not get any break point in the first set, was surprised at the worst moment by breaking 5 games everywhere.
