The Syrian General Organization of Writers has called on researchers in the field of translation to prepare studies and research to participate in its annual symposium, which it holds on the occasion of the International Day of Translation.
In a statement, the Writers Authority set a copy of which SANA received a copy of on August 31, as the last date for receiving the participants’ research, provided that it deals with the experiences of the translation process with one of the Syrian authorities from the Ministry of Culture, the Arab Writers Union, private publishing houses or individual experiences and the role of the Arabic Language Academy National universities and the obstacles to translation work in Syria in public and private institutions.
It is noteworthy that the symposium, which will be held from September 30 to October 1, next at the Al-Assad National Library in Damascus, will discuss the Syrian national experience in translation, with the participation of the Arabic Language Academy, the Union of Writers and Publishers, and Damascus University-Higher Institute of Translation and Interpretation.
It is noteworthy that the National Seminar for Translation has been held periodically since 2015 and examines every year a topic related to translation, its reality and concerns.
