Val-d'Oise: a man shot dead in an underground car park in Saint-Gratien

A 33-year-old man was shot dead in an underground parking lot in Saint-Gratien (Val-d'Oise) this Friday evening by a hooded individual who fled.

It was around 10:30 p.m. when a woman and a man drove into the underground parking lot of a usually quiet private residence before pulling up.

As the passenger exited the vehicle, a hooded man with a large caliber long gun fired at the car and the victim several times.

She tried to run away, before being caught by the gunman who then shot her coldly with several shots.

The driver was not touched

The woman at the wheel of the car, who introduced herself as her companion, was not injured and alerted the emergency services.

The victim had been convicted of acts of theft in an organized gang, the Pontoise prosecutor's office told AFP.

The investigation was entrusted to the judicial police of Versailles (Yvelines).
