Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip Yahya Sinwar threatened today (Saturday) that if another flag parade is held in Jerusalem - the terrorist organization will attack Israel.

His remarks came following an initiative to hold another parade in the capital after the traditional parade on Jerusalem Day, when Operation Wall Guard began with a barrage of rockets fired from Gaza into the capital.

The organizers of the event are preparing to hold the parade this coming Thursday, but the police have not yet confirmed its existence.

"If the Israelis return to attack al-Aqsa, we will return to burning Israel without hesitation," Sinwar threatened.

A Hamas spokesman said that the terrorist organization "warns against the new stupid act that the occupation intends to carry out in Jerusalem - to allow the flag parade to pass through the Nablus Gate again."

He said, "The move of the occupation came with the aim of rebuilding its image after the resistance exploded in the West Bank, Jerusalem and within Israel. We warn Israel against using Jerusalem as a tool to escape the internal crises."
