The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Lattakia has seized a factory in the Jableh countryside for the manufacture of ice cream and juices that uses expired raw materials and manufactures ice cream without any specification and does not hold the necessary administrative licenses.
The Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Samer Soussi, told SANA reporter that 100 cartons of juice were seized inside the facility, each containing 24 boxes, in addition to 12 packages of expired dyes and flavorings, and 180 kg of ice cream intended for sale without any specification card.
Soussi confirmed that the necessary controls were organized, all quantities were confiscated, the factory was closed with red wax, and the violator was referred to the duly competent judiciary.
