Starting this morning: A 15-12 year old vaccine against Corona is officially launched
Of the 600,000 teens eligible for the vaccine, thousands have already made appointments at the box office ahead of the day.
This is about six months after the start of the vaccination campaign, and a month after the approval of the US Food and Drug Administration.
The recommendation was received after intensive discussions in the Ministry of Health, and it focuses on those with risk factors for serious illness.

The youth vaccination program for 15-12 year olds against the Corona virus officially kicks off this morning (Sunday) at the four HMOs, about six months after the start of the vaccination campaign in Israel.
Some of the funds have already vaccinated the first vaccinated in recent days with the Pfizer vaccine.
According to data from the Ministry of Health, there are 600,000 youths in the age range in question who are eligible for the vaccine in Israel, of whom thousands have already made appointments for vaccination at the box office ahead of time.
After vigorous discussions with the Vaccines Committee, the Ministry of Health decided to recommend vaccinating the youth against corona, if they have risk factors for severe disease from the virus - such as obesity, immunosuppression, kidney failure, heart failure and diabetes.
In addition, it is recommended to vaccinate ages 15-12 if they come into close contact with their family members, or with other people who have risk factors for serious illness, or before traveling abroad.
Beyond that, the recommendation states that the other youth included in this age group can be vaccinated - if they are interested.

About a month ago, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the Pfizer vaccine for children.
Since then, there have been discussions about whether to recommend the vaccines or just open them to anyone who is interested.
The dilemma arose due to reports of myocarditis, which was reported in exceptional cases in the vicinity of receiving the second dose of the vaccine - mainly in men aged 30-16.
Although all reports ended in only mild inflammation, the Ministry of Health decided not to take risks, especially given the low coronary heart disease in the country.
