The people of Halfaya and a number of liberated villages gathered in the northern countryside of Hama in a mass gathering held this evening in the center of the city to express their joy at the victory of Dr. Bashar al-Assad as President of the Syrian Arab Republic.
The participants in the gathering raised national flags and pictures of President al-Assad and chanted patriotic slogans and songs, expressing their great joy at this victory and their confidence in the leadership of President al-Assad, stressing that the next stage will be the stage of reconstruction of what was destroyed by terrorism.
The Vice-Chairman of Halfaya City Council, Ayman al-Sayadi, told SANA reporter that Halfaya suffered a lot from terrorism, but won it thanks to the sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army, and it is winning again today through the participation of all the people of Syria in their celebrations of Dr. The neighboring towns are evidence of the Syrian people's support for their leadership.
In turn, lawyer Suhail Abu Zaid pointed out that Halfaya's people's wide participation in the presidential elections and their election of Dr. Bashar al-Assad comes from their belief in the necessity of working hand in hand with those who work to preserve the nation's security, stability and independence of its national decision.
Citizen Abdel-Manaf Ahmed indicated that he came to Halfaya city for the participation of its people in this national celebration, as an expression of their joy at the victory of Dr. Al-Assad, and “we all hope that the next stage will bring good omens for Syria and its people who have withstood the face of terrorism.”
