A man armed with a knife killed six people and injured 14 others in a locality in eastern China, state media reported on Sunday (June 6) according to a new toll that was revised upwards.
The drama occurred on Saturday afternoon in the streets of Anqing, a city 1,200 kilometers south of Beijing in Anhui province, state television CCTV reported.
A previous report had reported five dead and 15 injured.
An additional victim, hospitalized in serious condition, died of his injuries on Saturday, the channel said, adding that another person was in worrying condition.

Knife revenge
The attack took place on a pedestrianized shopping street in Anqing, which has a population of around five million.
According to CCTV, which quotes the city's Public Security Bureau, a 25-year-old, unemployed and "
angry
"
suspect
has been arrested and an investigation is underway.
Knife attacks are not uncommon in China, where carrying a gun is not allowed for ordinary citizens.
They are regularly carried out blindly by people who consider themselves victims of injustice and want revenge on society.
In April, a man with a knife killed two children and injured 16 others at a nursery school in southern China.
In 2018, a man who stabbed nine children to death in the north of the country was sentenced to death.
