Junior Chamber International in Homs launches “Kahraman” exhibition in its second season to encourage young artistic talents

Homs, SANA- The collective art exhibition (Kahraman), which was hosted by the Exhibition Hall within the Cultural Center in Homs, includes tens of thousands of people.

The collective art exhibition (Kahraman), which was hosted by the Exhibition Hall within the Cultural Center in Homs, includes dozens of paintings by fifty-five young talents distributed between drawing and photography.

Regarding the exhibition, which was launched by the Young International Chamber in Homs this evening in its second season in cooperation with the Homs Chamber of Industry and with the participation of the Young International Chamber in Homs, Dr. Samia Sarkis, head of the Chamber in Homs, explained to SANA that it aims to shed light on the young talents in drawing and photography for young men and women from fifteen to five years old. And the thirty years by introducing them to the community and publishing their information through the Chamber's official page.

The cooperation in holding this exhibition came with the Homs Chamber of Industry and the partnership with the Young International Chamber in Latakia, according to Sarkis, with the aim of spreading young talents in the two governorates, noting that the turnout for participation in the exhibition was great, as 123 participants submitted and their works were evaluated until the required number was reached.

Mary Noel Akhras, project manager for the current year, stated that the Kahraman project is a continuation of last year’s project at the request of the participants, whose number increased this year and were selected based on judges specialized in drawing and photography, stressing the need for this age group for support, which is what the Young Chamber International seeks through Offer supportive opportunities.

Young woman Samah Al-Daher, participating in the exhibition, presented two different paintings using multiple colors that reflect joy and accuracy in the works. As for the young woman, Hala Osama Al-Khaled, participated with three paintings, considering that the exhibition provided her with a real opportunity to show her talent and introduce her.

The young painter Ali Muhammad, who participated in several portraits of people in his profession, saw that the exhibition constitutes a real support for young talents and a real opportunity to launch in this field and introduce the works.

Young photographer Najib Mansour presented several paintings, including in the old neighborhoods of Damascus, including for children. The painter, Dr. Hossam Omran, participated in several paintings, during which he dealt with psychological disorder, indicating that it is his second participation in the Kahraman exhibition, which is achieving remarkable success.

The young woman, Linda Bashar Al-Khankan, participated in paintings about violence against women and about returning to the homeland, while the young woman, Zina Atassi, participated in one painting entitled (Scattered Dreams), in which she embodied the great suffering of young people under these difficult circumstances, indicating that it was her second participation in the Kahraman exhibition.

Muhammad Salama participated in three paintings in which he showed the details of the faces and another panel in which he compared joy and anger using charcoal in his paintings. As for the young Diana Hajj Salama, she indicated that it was her first participation in the exhibition, stressing that it was a real opportunity for her to show her talent for drawing.

During his attendance at the exhibition, the director of the Ornina Cultural Forum, writer Raymond Kabrun, considered the exhibition an opportunity to encourage young people, indicating that the levels within the exhibition varied between good and medium.
