Each year, the Hauts-de-Seine prefecture organizes around ten civil security exercises in the department.

This will be the case in the night from Sunday to Monday, from 1 am, a major rail incident, called “Terminus”, will be simulated in a RER C tunnel in Meudon (Hauts-de-Seine).

The Meudon Val Fleury station and its surroundings will then become the venue for the event.

A crisis unit will also be set up in Nanterre, on the premises of the prefecture.

More than 430 people mobilized

Like the simulation attack organized at La DĂ©fense in 2016, this full-scale exercise will mobilize, in addition to the Hauts-de-Seine prefecture, around fifteen different players: the town hall of Meudon, the SNCF , the Paris police headquarters, the Samu, the Paris fire brigade, the regional health agency, the regional and interdepartmental directorate of planning and transport equipment (DRIEAT

, the Croix- French Red, Civil Protection Paris Seine, the Order of Malta, the coordinator of associative resources or the association of mayors of Hauts-de-Seine.

In total, more than 430 people will be on site, including 90 extras in the role of civilians involved in the accident.

The opportunity for the authorities to test a new plan called “NOVI” (Numerous VIctimes), which is part of the Orsec system (Organization of the civil security response).

"This emergency plan aims to help a large number of victims in the same place", specifies the prefecture.
