"We did a job well done."

This is the sentence that Danish Hasnain, Saman's 33-year-old uncle, would have written in a chat to a person very close to him, talking about the young woman whose traces have been lost.

The Journal of Reggio Emilia reports it today.

There has been no news of Saman Abbas, an eighteen-year-old Pakistani woman who lived in Novellara in the Bassa Reggiana for more than a month.

The fear is that she was killed by her family for opposing an arranged marriage.

The Reggio Prosecutor's Office is investigating for murder with, at the moment, five suspects: the parents, two cousins and the uncle.

The five suspects are all untraceable except for a cousin who was arrested in France in recent days and whose extraction is expected. For days the carabinieri of the investigative unit and of the colleagues of the Novellara station have been beating inch by inch the countryside around the house and the farm where the Abbas family worked. The girl's body is sought. Among the investigative hypotheses is that the uncle was the material author of the girl's murder.
