The royal family has now also reacted to the happy event.

Los Angeles - Prince Harry and Meghan Markle became parents for the second time on Friday (June 4).

As they announced on the website of their Archewell Foundation, daughter Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born in a hospital in Santa Barbara.

With the chosen names they honor both Prince Harry's late mother, Lady Di, and his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, because their nickname within the family is "Lilibet".

The monarch has meanwhile commented on the birth of her great-granddaughter, who bears her name.

Queen Elizabeth congratulates Harry and Meghan on the birth of their daughter

As a spokesman for Buckingham Palace announced on Sunday evening, according to information from the German Press Agency, the Queen, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla as well as Prince William and Duchess Kate were informed about the birth. Everyone was "delighted" with the news. What the monarch thinks about the name of her eleventh great-granddaughter, however, has not yet been announced.

Perhaps the birth of Lilibet can help smooth the balance between Harry and his family again.

After both Harry and Meghan expressed violent criticism and allegations against the Royals in the scandalous interview with Oprah Winfrey, the relationship is currently more than tense.

Shortly before the birth, the royal family even gave the two a royal downgrade on the official Royals website.

Whether the two will lose their titles is still in the stars.

But now her small family is probably the focus of her attention.

He shared this on Twitter.
