Status quo in the National Assembly.
No party wins a new seat at the end of the four partial legislative elections organized on Sunday - the last of the five-year term, before the complete renewal of the National Assembly in 2022. Against a background of massive abstention, this ballot however took off test, before the regional and departmental elections of June 20 and 27.

● Minister Brigitte Bourguignon saves her seat opposite the RN in Pas-de-Calais
This is the first victory for La République en Marche (LREM) in a by-election.
The Minister in charge of Autonomy, Brigitte Bourguignon, amplifies her score of 2017 with 62.05% of the votes (60.8% in the previous election) against the National Rally (RN), represented by the regional councilor Marie-Christine Bourgeois in the 6th district of Pas-de-Calais.
She had been forced to put her seat on the line by her deputy, who refused to replace her after her appointment to the government.
In the interval between the two rounds, the minister had obtained the indirect support of the president (ex-Les Républicains, LR) of the Hauts-de-France region, Xavier Bertrand, and of the departmental federation of LR, who had called for a
"Roadblock"
against the party of Marine Le Pen.
The former socialist, however, plans to remain minister and send his deputy, Christophe Leclercq, to the National Assembly.

● PS wins against LFI in Paris
The Socialist Party (PS) wins its duel with La France Insoumise in Paris.
The candidate Lamia El Aaraje (56.6%), supported by the mayor Anne Hidalgo, wins against the rebellious Danielle Simonnet in the 20th arrondissement, very anchored on the left.
In the last constituency held by the PS in Paris, neither of the two Parisians had received the support of another candidate in the interval between the two rounds.
Environmentalist Antoinette Guhl and Communist Thomas Roger, beaten in the first round, had left their voters free to choose.
The newly elected, Lamia El Aaraje, succeeds the outgoing PS MP George Pau-Langevin, appointed deputy to the Defender of Rights last November.
Participation: 16.4%

● Tidal wave for Victor Habert-Dassault, who succeeds his uncle in the Oise
In the Oise, Victor Habert-Dassault (LR), nephew of Olivier Dassault, succeeds his uncle who died in a helicopter accident in March 2021. Son of Marie-Hélène and Benoît Habert (administrator of
Le Figaro
), the young lawyer obtains 80.41% of the votes against the National Assembly, represented by Claire Marais-Beuil (19.59%).
In this 1st constituency of the Oise conquered in 1957 by Marcel Dassault, at the age of 28 he became the third representative of the family to occupy the seat of deputy.
He had obtained a majority of votes (58.44%) in the first round, but was forced to a second round for lack of sufficient participation.
Participation: 24.3%.
● UDI retains its headquarters in Indre-et-Loire with the victory of Sophie Métadier
The center-right UDI party retains its headquarters in Indre-et-Loire.
Sophie Métadier, mayor of Beaulieu-lès-Loches, also invested by LR and supported by LREM, obtains 62.9% of the votes cast against the socialist Murielle Riolet, deputy mayor of Chambray-lès-Tours.
The newly elected takes over from MP Sophie Auconie, who resigned for health reasons.
She had delighted the constituency from the former socialist minister Marisol Touraine, in 2017.
Participation: 18.25%.
