The Turkish Defense Ministry acknowledged the killing of one of its soldiers in northern Iraq.
According to the Anatolia Agency, the spokeswoman for the Turkish regime, the ministry indicated in a statement yesterday that the soldier was killed as a result of injuries he sustained as a result of the explosion of an explosive device in northern Iraq.
Yesterday, the Iraqi presidency renewed its demand for the Turkish regime forces to withdraw from northern Iraq and the need to respect Iraqi sovereignty, stressing in a statement that the Turkish bombardment the day before yesterday on the areas of Makhmour camp is a dangerous escalation that endangers the lives of citizens, including refugees, and is inconsistent with international and humanitarian law.
It is noteworthy that the Turkish regime forces have repeatedly violated the sanctity of Iraqi territory and stationed in late 2015 in the Bashiqa area near the city of Mosul in northern Iraq, which the Iraqi government confirmed that it constitutes aggression and a violation of Iraq's sovereignty and a violation of the rules of international law and demanded the withdrawal of Turkish forces.
