As-Suwayda-Sana
The historical monuments of the city of Shahba, from the National Museum, the archaeological baths, the Kleiba temple, and the Roman amphitheater, hosted a cultural walk for male and female students from various colleges and institutes of As-Suwayda, entitled (Our Civilization is Our Present).
The march organized by the branch of the National Union of Syrian Students in As-Suwayda was talked about by the head of the Culture, Media and Informatics Office, Lama Jund, in a statement to SANA reporter, that it comes within the plan of the students branch to introduce ancient monuments and learn about the great ancestral civilizations and their ancient history and the need to preserve their safety.
While both students of philosophy and Arabic literature, Rosette Nasr and Salam Arabi, expressed their happiness with the walk through which they learned about the treasures of the National Museum in Shahba and the Baths of Philip the Arab, where each ruler built public baths named after his name, in addition to the ruins of the ancient Kiliba temple and their tour of the Roman archaeological theater.
Law student Hani Nasr pointed out that the ancient history of the city and its archaeological sites motivate us to preserve this rich heritage for generations and always strive to make it known because of its economic impact on Syrian tourism.
