Nuremberg - The cancellation of the Nuremberg * Spring Festival at the beginning of March due to the Corona * crisis was a shock for the organizers.

They quickly developed an alternative concept, the so-called “NürnBärLand”.

The top of the city of Nuremberg would have found the concept to be good, as the organizers announced on their website.

Now the only thing missing was the “Go” from the Bavarian state government.

Thanks to the relaxations decided by Söder on Friday (June 4th) the good news: The “NürnBärLand” can take place.

From the beginning of July to mid-September you can visit the amusement park from Thursday to Sunday on the Volksfestplatz.

Amusement park "NürnBärLand": These changes are coming to visitors

The temporary amusement park is completely fenced in on the festival site. The whole fairground and even every shop has a detailed hygiene concept. You have to register via the Luca app and there is a restriction on the number of visitors, according to the organizers. The distances between the rides will be larger than usual and the visitor streets will also be made much wider. This year only around 100 companies take part instead of the usual 175.

The organizers are also making a change in terms of appearance: lawn carpets and potted plants should decorate all shops.

The line-up will also be completely redesigned: “A culinary center in the center will be surrounded by a colorful mix of family businesses.” On the Nuremberg Volksfest website, it is also said that the “NürnBär” will be regularly on the square as a mascot, what many children should be happy.
