The Federal Prosecutor wants to bring the alleged operator of a global anti-Semitic Internet network and two fellow campaigners to trial.

According to a statement, the Karlsruhe authority has indicted three men on suspicion of membership in a right-wing extremist criminal organization, the so-called Goyim party.

One of the accused is said to have built up a transnational network on the Internet since 2014 in order to spread anti-Semitic hate speech worldwide.

There is talk of a general and at least 29 country groups.

A second defendant helped set up the network and looked after the German group of countries, the Federal Prosecutor said.

He is said to have worked as an administrator.

Both have been in custody since July last year.

The third accused did not belong to the leadership group, but had spread "a considerable amount of anti-Semitic content."

The court has yet to decide whether the charges will be admitted

The Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court must now decide whether to admit the indictment.

Then the process could be conducted before the State Security Senate.

According to the information, the network had other members.

The two main suspects were arrested on July 16, 2020 in Herleen, the Netherlands, and in Berlin.

There were searches at the same time.

In the statement, the Federal Prosecutor emphasized the "special importance of the case".

The publications on the Internet are "highly suitable for sowing doubts among the attacked population groups about an effective protection of their constitutionally guaranteed freedoms for life, limb and property."

The investigators consider the man captured in the Netherlands, who has since been transferred to Germany, to be the central figure in the network.

After the operators of several Internet platforms blocked or deleted the channels set up because of the anti-Semitic content, he switched to the Russian social network VKontakte (VK).

Such restrictions were not to be expected here.
