In Lehua South Village, Kwun Tong, a wounding and suicide attempt occurred today (7th). A 41-year-old man surnamed Xie visited his ex-wife's house and suddenly attacked his ex-maternal mother with a hammer.
The ex-wife and current boyfriend immediately stepped forward to stop.
Xie Nan left for a while and then returned to the kitchen and hanged himself. He fell into a coma and was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment. In the morning, he was hospitalized at the intensive care unit in critical condition.
The incident occurred in Xihua Building, Lehua South Village. At about midnight this (7th) morning, a unit was heard calling for help in the neighborhood, so he reported the case for help.
Ambulancemen and police officers rushed to the scene and found that a 59-year-old woman surnamed Cai in the unit was injured in the head. She was suspected of being injured by a hammer. She was soberly sent to United Hospital by ambulance for treatment; then she was found 41-year-old Xie in the unit. The man hanged himself, but as he could not be relieved immediately, he had to call firefighters and an ambulance to join the scene for reinforcements.
It is reported that Xie Nan was unconscious, but still had breathing and pulse. After emergency treatment, he was immediately rushed to United Hospital, where he is now undergoing emergency treatment.
It is understood that Cai Nu is Xie Nan's ex-maternal mother. Xie Nan still holds a key after divorcing her 33-year-old ex-wife and visits her house from time to time.
At the time of the incident, the ex-wife was washing the toilet with her current boyfriend, and suddenly heard a noise. Looking at the living room, she was surprised that Xie Nan was holding a hammer and hurting Cai Nuv.
There is also a 1-year-old baby in the living room.
The ex-wife immediately pushed Xie Nan away, but Xie Nan did not turn back soon and hanged himself in the kitchen.
The police classified the case as "wounding" and "attempted suicide".
A reporter from "Hong Kong 01" found debris outside the door and blurred blood footprints on the ground until the elevator entrance.
Neighbor Mr. Chen said that the mother and daughter have lived in the unit for many years, and recently had a baby over 1 year old.
He pointed out that there were men living in the unit. When the incident happened, "the boy (Xie Nan) went in and the girl (Xie's ex-wife) didn't want to enter, so he could help." Then the man in the unit went out to call the police.
The male victim was rescued and transferred to the ward for further treatment.
