Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Premier Andrew Furey named former CEO of Canada Post and British Royal Mail with a reputation as a cost killer, Moya Greene, to lead a recovery team economy of his province.
After eight months of work, this Canadian, who lives in London, delivered her conclusions in "
The Big Reset
", a 342-page report to save TNL from bankruptcy.
The document begins with a long statement of failure.
“
Government spending increased from $ 4.97 billion in 2004-2005 to $ 8.97 billion in 2020-2021.
We spend 25% more than what we earn annually and 12% of our income is only used to pay our debt,
”notes Moya Greene.
And to add: "
Our health expenses have increased by 74% since 2005-2006
".
