Polling stations closed Sunday, June 6 at 7 p.m. local time in Peru, and an exit poll gives radical left candidate Pedro Castillo and populist right-wing representative Keiko Fujimori neck and neck in the election presidential.

The daughter of the former president Alberto Fujimori (1990-2000) would obtain 50.3%, and the teacher 49.7%, according to Ipsos, after the vote, obligatory in Peru, of some 25 million voters. The official results are expected around 11:30 p.m. local time (04:30 UTC).
