Moscow-Sana

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin stressed that the sanctions imposed by Western countries on Moscow are based on flimsy pretexts and are not based on any evidence.

The Russian TASS news agency quoted Bankin as saying during hearings in the Russian Duma today: that Russia will not ask anyone to lift the sanctions against it and will not express regret for what it does not do, warning that the sanctions create an atmosphere of toxicity.

Bankin pointed out that "Russia has prepared a set of measures to be taken in the event that Western countries impose new sanctions against it."

The United States and European Union countries had imposed measures against Russia that contradict international law and constitute a blatant violation of Russian internal affairs in the context of the pressure exerted by the West through these measures in its continuous attempts to impose its policies on other countries.
