Oriental songs and pieces by the giants of music and singing colored the concert performed by violinist, maestro Nazir Mawas and his band, amid a wide audience that filled the theater of the Culture Palace in Homs.

The program of the concert varied between playing and singing in harmony, showing the ability and skill in playing, which was well received by the audience, and included pieces of turquoise and calculus from “Tala’li al-Baki”, “The Heart Loves” and “A Night of Love”, in addition to the song “Ya Khali Al Qalb” composed by musician Mohamed Abdel Wahab.

Ibrahim Bitar and Maysa Abu Deeb performed the talk show song “Yajdi Ya Bou Deeb” by Fairouz and Nasri Shams El-Din. Then he returned and Bitar performed with the choir the two talk shows “Awafi Ya Abu Saleh” and “Shab Al-Hawa and Shabna” by Wadih Al-Safi and Rita Sultan sang “You don’t have an idea” by Warda Al Jazairia. .

In a statement to SANA, Mawas said that he sought during the concert to choose unique musical pieces rich in violin violins that show the potential of individual players, pointing out that he works with his band to present a specific approach to music playing on the violin through the vision of the player by employing melody in a technique far from tradition while maintaining originality.

Maestro Nazir Mawas was born in the village of Sadad in Homs Governorate in 1973. He studied music under the musicians Raad Khalaf and Riad Sukkar and oriental music under the direction of musician Jamil Halal. He worked with great artists such as Wadih Al-Safi and Fairouz. He has several musical compositions.
