A 26-year-old woman died this weekend after falling from a height of 50 to 80 feet (15 and 24 meters) off a cliff in Utah, authorities said Sunday.
The woman's body was recovered by authorities in Mystery Canyon, located in Zion National Park, 20 miles north of the Utah-Arizona border, according to the National Park Service (NPS). ).
The woman has not been identified as of yet.

Investigators in the case said
the woman was alone when it fell Saturday afternoon
.
A rescue helicopter rushed to the scene but was unable to rescue her due to "the steep and narrow walls of the canyon," the federal agency said.

The woman was alive when rescue teams found her, but died moments later, according to park officials.
His injuries were "consistent with a fall from a high elevation," the NPS said.
The agency and the Washington County Sheriff's Office are investigating the death.
The fall caused
the second death from this cause in Zion National Park so far in 2021.
In March, a Utah man died after falling from Angels Landing in that park, authorities said.
Jason Hartwell, 42, of the city of Draper, also suffered "injuries consistent with a fall from a high elevation."
