Daraa-Sana
The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Daraa organized 33 catering seizures during three days, which included the owners and investors of bakeries and various activities.
The Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Eng. Hamidi Al-Khalil, stated in a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the seizures included the owner of Al-Salah bakery in Mahja for violating the lack of weight and poor manufacturing, the owners of Al-Amer and Al-Rahma bakeries in Taseel, Khattab and Dahdal in Nawa, and the supervisor of the Khirbet Ghazala reserve bakery for violating the weight loss in the bundles of bread. Al-Dabout Al-Ikhlas Bakeries, Al-Turkmani and Al-Maflani in Al-Harak, owners of Al-Sourah bakeries in the town of Al-Sura, Al-Khawaldeh in Al-Sahwa, Al-Kafri in Ghassam, and Ghassam’s automated bakery, for violating the production of poorly made bread.
Al-Khalil indicated that the elements of consumer protection organized a seizure against the owner of Hassan’s bakery in Giza with a violation of stopping work without informing the directorate, explaining that the arrests also included the owner of Al-Rifai bakery in Umm Walad and the owner of the dates bakery in Jassem for violating working hours, in addition to an arrest against the owner of the poor bakery in Ghabageb Violation of selling bread with more than three bundles in one bag, and two seizures against the owner of the Nimr private bakery in Nimr and the owner of the Mothbeen bakery for violating the administrative instructions to sell bread from the window.
And Al-Khalil indicated that the rest of the seizures were divided into two seizures for reasons related to non-publication of prices, two seizures in violation of presenting irregular purchase invoices, four seizures in violation of levying an increase in transport wages allowance, and three seizures in violation of not placing a plate showing the right of the consumer to exchange and return to various activities.
