- This time there is a premiere at the Fachoberschule (FOS) in Haar: The first year begins to take the general Abitur after the 13th grade.

A total of 247 students take the final exams in Haar: 194 of them want to take the advanced technical college entrance qualification, 47 are taking the general Abitur.

In the last two weeks before the exam, Rector Nicola Tauscher-Meric and her team once again offered intensive online courses.

“We wanted to specifically support the students in subjects where they think they still have gaps,” says headmistress Tauscher-Meric.

FOS Haar opened three years ago in autumn 2018 and will need more rooms in the transition area on Hans-Brush-Straße from autumn.

1,022 students have registered for the next school year.

"I would not have thought that we would grow so quickly," says Tauscher-Meric, "perhaps it is also because we practically did not miss any classes during the pandemic."

20 new teachers wanted in hair

The team is also to grow, and we are looking for 20 new colleagues.

In addition, the fourth construction project is pending in the office building to create space.

In the long term, a new building on a school campus in Gronsdorf is planned, but that will still take a while.

Tomorrow at the Emile Montessori School in Neubiberg the final spurt starts for 13 pupils.

At the FOS / BOS in Unterschleißheim, 480 pupils have registered for the Abi exam.

345 graduates acquire the technical college entrance qualification, 108 want to take the general Abitur after 13 years, 27 start at the BOS for the technical college entrance qualification.

This school, with its fields of business, social affairs, technology and design, expanded the range of education in the north in 2014. Since autumn 2018, the FOS / BOS has also been an elite school for sports, where ambitious athletes combine school and training. Last year, swimmer Julia Titze graduated from high school here and has now won two silver medals at the German championships in Berlin.
