Engineer Arnous: Empowering public construction companies and developing modern housing models commensurate with the financial capabilities of housing seekers

Prime Minister, Engineer Hussein Arnous, while chairing a meeting today at the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, stressed the need to enable public construction companies to compete, increase their production capacity, reduce costs and waste, exploit human energies and all available resources, and create work fronts for various public construction sector companies.

Engineer Arnous stressed the importance of developing modern and advanced housing scenarios and models that are commensurate with the financial capabilities of housing seekers and take into account the requirements of construction and housing safety, visual identity and the aesthetic dimension of housing and construction, calling for facilitating access to housing financing according to the prevailing income level, especially for people with limited income, and studying appropriate financing formulas for effective connection Between loan and demand at the housing sector level.

The Prime Minister also called for strengthening the executive arms of the ministry through the existing construction companies and benefiting from the extensive experience it has accumulated to carry out its responsibilities in the reconstruction phase, which constitutes a great opportunity for these companies and the development of the sector on the basis of a balance between the dimensions of competitiveness, efficiency and social responsibility.

Eng. Arnous expressed the government's keenness to establish effective national partnerships with the private sector and coordinate with the Syndicates of Engineers and Contractors to contribute to construction and achievement, explaining the importance of continuous training and qualification and building human capacities capable of using the latest international technologies to keep pace with international experiences at the engineering, technical and aesthetic levels.

The Minister of Public Works and Housing, Eng. Suhail Abdul Latif, explained that the ministry and its affiliated entities are moving towards automation and digitization, simplifying procedures and coordination mechanisms and monitoring the implementation of projects in an instantaneous manner according to the specified timeframes.

The assistants of the Minister of Public Works and Housing also gave a presentation on the Ministry's work in the field of administrative reform, regional planning, urban development, the national strategy for housing and housing, organizational plans, the reality of housing associations and alternative housing, in addition to planning, project quality, training centers and vocational rehabilitation, and work to achieve integrated urban communities, social housing units, and the preparation of an electronic platform It links the ministry with its affiliated construction companies.
