Syria continues to be represented in the International Council for Dental Implants through Dr. Rashad Murad, who was appointed by the Council as its ambassador for the third time and for a period of two years.
Founded in 1972, the Council is the largest provider of continuing education and clinical and basic research support in the field of dental implants and includes general dentists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, periodontics, orthodontists, laboratory technicians, researchers and academics from nearly 90 countries.
Dr. Murad Bayn told SANA that Syria has imposed itself on the regional level in the field of dental implants, where it has made great progress in this specialty, which was reflected in the quality and quality of the services provided to patients and the implant results, which are close to their global success rates.
Dr. Murad stressed Syria's keenness on its active presence in the council, as it held two international conferences, one at Damascus University in 2017, and the other at Al-Assad University Hospital in 2019, but in 2020 the conference that was scheduled was postponed due to the Corona pandemic.
Dr. Murad holds a dental degree at Al-Baath University and is the owner of the invention of the Murad Dental Bridge. He was appointed for the first time as an ambassador for the World Council in 2015 and was renewed in 2017 and 2019. He is a professor at Damascus University and has more than 21 scientific books.
