The idyll is still there at the Lüßer Weiher, but a large forest of signs has spread across the small area.
This is due to the security concept commissioned by the Neuching community
Lüß - Christian Steiner (WGN) asked the local council about the current status. After all, the bathing season is just around the corner. Work is in the final stages, Mayor Thomas Bartl (CSU) informed the committee.
A staircase still has to be installed, but the foundation for it has already been completed.
Martin Schwarzenbeck (CSU), whose company HasnBau carried out or will carry out this work, assured that the stairs will come soon.
Four signs were attached to the jetty, pointing out possible dangers: You could slip, fall or hit under water.
The entrance to the water should also be made as safe and flattened as possible - naturally including the appropriate signs on the stones there. The bank was paved and maintenance work was carried out. Now all that remains is the acceptance by lawyer Dr. Georg Krafft from Munich on the program. He created the security concept, which cost the community around 10,000 euros. Only then is it possible to bathe, sunbathe, play and relax at the Lüßer Weiher without the community being able to be sued in the event of an incident.
Third Mayor Manfred Mittermaier (FWG) had another idea.
A sign saying “Warning of the signs” would be a good addition, he remarked sarcastically.
“We all agree that this is of course insane,” said Mayor Bartl, summarizing the implementation of the signage.
But, according to him, it is "modern to sue everyone and everything".
And to be on the safe side, the municipality had no choice but to implement the concept.
