Dutch Danny Makkelie is the referee designated by UEFA for Italy-Turkey, the opening match of the 2020 European Championship scheduled for next Friday at the Olimpico.
The fourth official will be French Stephanie Frappart, the first woman to referee in the Champions League.
The assistants will be the Dutch Hessel Steegstra and Jan de Vries, Dutch also the Var referee, Kevin Blom.
Makkelie, 38, has a precedent with Mancini's blues, Italy-Portugal 0-0;
last August he directed the final of the Europa League Sevilla-Inter, won 3-2 by the Spaniards
