Marseille: the "gang of Albanians" in court for multiple burglaries

A dozen people are on trial this Wednesday for thefts committed in 2018 and 2019, sometimes with violence. The damage would amount to one million euros, the defendants having also organized a gold resale channel in the Maghreb.

A dozen people, some of the same family and belonging to a network of burglars, are tried this week by the 7th correctional chamber of Marseille, specializing in the repression of organized crime.

, they would have been rife between 2018 and 2019 in Bouches-du-Rhône, Vaucluse, Gard and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, and amassed loot of nearly a million euros in 17 robberies.

Among those implicated, only five are currently in detention.

Their modus operandi revealed a very successful organization.

The preliminary studies and the structuring of the “

A team of three people took care of the burglary itself, another of the concealment, and a last took care of the logistics, the accommodation of the people in operation.

The alleged leader of the organization, Durim Topi, a 52-year-old mason, was feared by other members.
