The Ministry of Tourism and the Syrian Association for Sustainable Tourism (Sustainable Phoenix) signed a memorandum of understanding to stimulate tourism development by providing job opportunities, education and training and contributing to the preservation and optimal utilization of natural, cultural and environmental resources.
The Assistant Minister of Tourism, Eng. Nidal Mashfaj, explained to SANA’s delegate that the memorandum aims to cooperate in preparing joint projects to achieve the goals of tourism development that are able to respond to the requirements of the tourism sector plan in line with the changes of the global tourism market and integrate with the standards and requirements of government policies in the field of sustainable development and achieve competitive performance within this sector.
For her part, the director of the association, Dima Akkad, indicated in a similar statement that the signing of the memorandum falls within the framework of the association's policy to strengthen the strategic partnership with the tourism public sector entities and provide technical and technical support to raise the level of tourism services.
