Nuremberg - A photo of a couple in Nuremberg * caused violent reactions on Facebook.
The photo came from a picture gallery of

The racist reactions on Facebook below the picture frightened many and caused a stir.
The editor-in-chief Alexander Jungkunz of the

took a position on the partly racist "hate comments" and condemned them sharply.
"There are limits to freedom of expression," said Jungkunz.
Nuremberg: Photo of black couple causes violent reactions on Facebook
The sometimes "hateful" comments came from users from all over Germany.
"People shy away from reproducing them here - such stupid remarks are too well known," the editor-in-chief wrote in his comment.
Nevertheless, he mentioned some of the insults in his text.
“Didn't know that the people of Nuremberg were so heavily pigmented,” wrote one user.
Another wrote “out, out, out!
Away, away, away! ".
These are still the "less violent, less brutal" comments.
“Some things were so underground that quoting is forbidden,” says Jungkunz.
Some Facebook comments would have accused the editors of “framing”.
Just show a society how you want to see it.
"What a nonsense.
Nuremberg is colorful, we still rarely depict this diversity, ”writes Jungkunz.
After racist reactions under photo - editorial team deletes Facebook comments
The comments have now been deleted by the editorial staff.
That has nothing to do with censorship or restricted freedom of expression, said Junkunz.
“We also don't print racist letters to the editor”.
There are limits to freedom of expression.
Such “racist insults” are “very deliberate violations of human dignity”.
According to Jungkunz, the couple also spoke up with a comment under the post.
“Thanks to everyone out there who stand up against racism.
And for those of you with the racist comments [...], please try to work on yourselves, because this is 2021 - there is no longer a place for racism in the world, by the way we are both full-time workers and German citizens like everyone else white Germans, so what's your problem?
Still, peace and love to everyone out there, ”writes the man pictured.
That is the right answer to hatred, so the editor-in-chief.
