Rural Damascus, SANA- The governorate of Rural Damascus has allocated some administrative units for several development and real estate projects, which have been approved.

The Damascus Countryside Governorate has allocated some administrative units to several development and real estate projects that have been approved and set up with the aim of improving the resources of these units, improving their services, employing manpower and empowering them economically.

Director of Decision Support and Regional Planning in the Governorate of Damascus Countryside, Engineer Abdul Razzaq Dhamiriya, explained in a statement to SANA’s delegate today that the projects were identified based on the needs of each region and the quality of production that is characterized by it. Harasta, Al-Tawani, Hina, and Al-Bitrah area.

According to Dhamiriya, a construction was completed to set up a storage and cooling unit in Rankos at a cost of 80 million Syrian pounds, and work is currently continuing to complete the entire project. By creating a plant to extract anise oils with a value of one hundred million Syrian pounds after the final approval of the project’s dossier. A cow barn will also be established in the veterinary area, and the allocation will be made after announcing the estimated disclosure for approval by the technical services.

Dhamiriya added that among the projects allocated is a project for the production of Qamar al-Din in the city of Yabroud to invest the city's production of apricots, while an olive press will be established in the al-Tawani area of ​​the city of Qatifah, stressing that these projects will achieve an added value for the imports of the two local councils.

Regarding real estate development projects in the governorate, between Dhamiriya, there are 9 companies that have obtained the necessary licenses from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and are ready to start work. Planning studies are currently being prepared for the establishment of real estate development projects in the areas of Doreen, Telita, Demas, Douma, Zabadani, Moadamiya and Maaraba, noting that the minimum required space The real estate development project is 25 hectares.
