There is one way to get full vaccination protection more quickly for everyone with Astrazeneca vaccination for the first time.

It is important to note this.

Dachau

- For first vaccinations with the vaccine from the manufacturer Astrazeneca, there was previously an interval of twelve weeks between the first and second vaccination.

Everyone who has been vaccinated with Astrazeneca automatically has a second vaccination appointment twelve weeks after the first vaccination appointment - in the same place and at the same time.

From now on there is the possibility to bring the second vaccination date forward so that the full vaccination protection is achieved earlier.

Anyone who has had their first vaccination with Astra can move forward their second vaccination appointment

"Studies have shown that the effectiveness of the vaccine is given at a vaccination interval of twelve weeks," said care physician Dr. Christian Gunzel. “Earlier vaccinations are possible with the acceptance of a slightly lower response rate. We recommend an interval of at least eight weeks. ”For this reason, District Administrator Stefan Löwl, together with those responsible for the two vaccination centers in the district, decided to offer interested citizens the opportunity to bring forward the date for the second vaccination. "Especially with our vaccination campaigns such as the vaccination turbo week, the 'vaccination in May' and the 'father's day vaccination', many citizens have expressed the wish to get full vaccination protection as soon as possible," said District Administrator Stefan Löwl.After the legal prerequisites for this had meanwhile been created and it was also medically justifiable, "we have found a good solution with this voluntary offer".

There must be at least eight weeks between the two Astra vaccinations

The prerequisite for an early second vaccination appointment is that there are at least eight weeks between the two vaccinations.

In addition, the second vaccination is carried out exclusively with the vaccine from the manufacturer Astrazeneca;

there is no right to choose another vaccine.

Interested parties can register at the vaccination center responsible for the first vaccination and make an appointment for the early second vaccination.

For all people who do not want to accept this offer, the regular second vaccination appointments will of course remain in place twelve weeks after the first vaccination.

The District Office of Dachau and the vaccination centers again point out that proof of identity, the vaccination pass and the vaccination documentation received with the first vaccination (with the QR code) are required for the second vaccination.
