At least
seven people were killed and dozens injured
after a bus accident involving more than 50 passengers near Popotla, Mexico, late Tuesday.
The accident occurred in the Tijuana-Rosarito 2000 Corridor in Playas de Rosarito, at the junction between Popotla Boulevard and 2000.
In the vehicle, which overturned on its side, were a group of workers from the Hyundai factory returning from a trip to Tecate, according to the newspaper El Imparcial.
The causes of the accident are unknown for now.

Eighteen firefighters arrived at the site, as well as two rescue units, paramedics and an ambulance to rescue the passengers, according to Tijuana police.
Shortly before 10:30 pm the authorities reported that seven people lost their lives.
Other
six people were in critical condition, and 28 others wounded in stable condition.
The bus driver was not at the scene and by 1 am had not yet been found.

The authorities indicated that they continued in the area to transfer the wounded to nearby hospitals.
Although the bus was towed on Wednesday morning, the roads were still closed, according to the Playas de Rosarito City Council on its Facebook page.
The mayor of Rosarito posted her condolences on her Facebook account as well.
"As a mother, as a daughter, as a sister, there are no words that can mitigate such great pain. My sincere condolences in the face of such a regrettable loss."
