With a little luck, in the mid-1960s, some Parisians may have come across Sophia Loren crossing the capital in her English convertible. During this period, the Italian actress Sophia Loren, whose real name is Scicolone, resides in Paris, at the Lancaster hotel, rue de Berri. She has already shot "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" where her plastic turns heads when her husband, producer Carlo Ponti, orders a Silver from Franco-Britannic, the French importer of the Rolls-Royce brand. Cloud III executed in convertible by the bodybuilder HJ Mulliner. Midnight blue, light blue interior, the imposing English convertible is equipped with French specifications. One of the 25 left-hand drive models produced, the car of the new icon of Italian cinema receives a radio with electric antenna,loudspeakers in the rear seat armrests and power windows.

At the time, this special order, carried out on a Silver Cloud III basis, represented the ultimate in luxury.
No more than 37 copies of this convertible including 35 left-hand drive will be produced.
It is not known how long Sophie Loren and her husband kept the Rolls-Royce, but the car did not know many owners.
It probably underwent a restoration in 2004. It is today one of the centerpieces of a large collection of Rolls-Royce and Bentleys belonging to a Swiss.
The house RM Sotheby's obtained the mandate to disperse the collection on June 19.
Sophia Loren's Rolls-Royce is estimated between 530,000 and 660,000 Swiss francs, or between 484,260 and 603,000 euros.
