The European Union called on the United States today to apply the principle of reciprocity when regulating the entry of European tourists to its territory.
And the Italian news agency AKI quoted the European Commissioner in charge of Internal Market Affairs, Thierry Bruton, as saying: “The US authorities’ demand for the Europeans to be quarantined upon entering their territory is an unfair measure, especially since European capitals exempt American tourists who received two doses of the anti-Covid 19 vaccine at least 15 days ago from Any precautionary measure,” adding, “We only want reciprocity.”
Brussels hopes that member states will coordinate their measures and allow entry to all tourists who have received two doses of a European-recognized vaccine produced by “Pfizer”, “AstraZeneca”, “Johnson & Johnson” or “Moderna” against Covid 19, in order to save the tourist season.
And the member states of the European Union agreed to allow those who received two doses of the anti-Covid 19 vaccine, any of the citizens of most countries of the world, to enter their territories without resorting to a detection procedure or a commitment to quarantine.
It is noteworthy that European countries, despite their agreement on the principle of opening external borders for tourists, are still applying various measures in an effort to prevent the entry of mutated strains of Covid 19 into their territories.
