Two ceremonial meetings were held in Baalbek and in the Al-Bass camp for Palestinian refugees in southern Lebanon on the occasion of Dr. Bashar Al-Assad's victory in the presidential elections, in which Lebanese and Palestinian political, party and social figures participated.
The Association of the Martyr Center Major Basil Al-Assad Cultural and Social Society in Baalbek organized a celebratory meeting under the title (Readings on the Thought of President Dr. Bashar Al-Assad on the Occasion of His Victory in the Presidential Elections).
Member of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc in the Lebanese Parliament, Representative Ihab Hamadeh, affirmed that President al-Assad protected Syria's sovereignty and its independent decision despite the complex war waged against it by dozens of countries using mercenaries, weapons, money, media, sedition and poisonous propaganda tools.
Hamadeh said, "Any president was not able to withstand one week in the face of this attack on Syria. What was required was to change the map of the region and the map of Syria in order to secure protection and security for (Israel)."
Hamadeh added, "The Syrian state stood and protected Syria and Lebanon together, and we in Lebanon owe it to the Syrian people and its state for preserving this Lebanese entity," noting the steadfastness of President Assad, who restored the glory of the nation by defeating the axis of colonial evil.
Hamadeh pointed out that the presidential elections were not just elections, but were more than a referendum and were a declaration of victory that preserved the future of the entire nation.
In turn, a member of the association's administrative board, Dr. Hulu Faraj, confirmed that President al-Assad's victory in the elections was an expression of the Syrian people's adherence to those who defended Syria's land and unity so that it would remain the impregnable fortress and the kiss of the resistance in the time of treason and normalization.
"Syria faced the global terrorist conspiracy against it and made huge sacrifices in the battles for the nation's destiny and existence," Faraj said.
The pioneers of the People's Liberation War (the Sa'iqa Forces) also held a celebratory meeting in the Al-Bass camp for Palestinian refugees in southern Lebanon on the occasion of Dr. Bashar al-Assad's victory in the presidential elections, with the participation of delegations from Palestinian factions and Lebanese parties and social, cultural and educational activities.
The Secretary of the Thunderbolt Organization in Lebanon, Ahmed Sheikh Youssef, praised the pioneering national role of Syria under the leadership of President al-Assad in serving just and just causes, especially the Palestinian cause, and standing by the Palestinian people’s struggle to restore their rights and liberate their occupied land.
