Two fires broke out in the Jerusalem mountains, beginning with the evacuation of residents in Ma'ale Hahamisha

A large fire broke out today (Wednesday) in two areas in the area of ​​Har Haruach and Har Eitan, near Neve Ilan in the Jerusalem mountains.

Due to the danger of the spread, the police forces began evacuating residents in Ma'ale Hahamisha.

The fire is also developing in the areas near the localities of Yad Hashmona, Nataf, Neve Ilan and Abu Ghosh.

Netaf residents were instructed to stay in houses and not leave the settlement for fear of being caught in the fire.

Seven firefighters are operating at the scene with the help of four firefighting planes, but it has been reported that fire control has not yet been achieved.

Also, following the fire, Road 425, the only access road to Nataf, was blocked and is currently cut off.

In addition, the Har Adar-Ma'ale Hahamisha road is blocked in both directions, and the Ma'ale Hahamisha industrial area is also evacuated.

Train traffic to Jerusalem has been stopped, and all trains on their way to the area will be stopped at Ben Gurion Airport.
