With determination and determination, the two ladies, Ward Al-Sabbagh and Samira Saraya, crowned their expertise in the field of handicrafts into a small project they launched in the city of As-Suwayda, which included a production workshop and a hall to display and sell products.

The project, according to Ward, 46 years old, was funded by the United Nations Development Program as part of a group of funded small projects, after undergoing a training course in project management, benefiting from the experience that she had, which she started from her home five years ago and reinforced by her participation in many exhibitions later.

Ward stated, during her interview with SANA reporter, that through this project, which compensated her for not completing her education due to special family circumstances, she produces various items such as bags, sheets, shawls, embroideries, and others, indicating that it currently provides about six job opportunities for women, and a part of it is allocated for training in manual work with the aim of providing many Skilled women in this field.

Ward finds that this project, which is encouraged by her husband, enhances her continuous quest to prove her presence in work and life, and achieves a source of income that helps her bear the burdens of life, calling on all women who do not have job opportunities to not be satisfied with their reality and use their skills to establish small projects that achieve stability for them.

According to Mrs. Samira, 62, she provided the project with three knitting machines with a donation from the local community for charitable work for women who work on them, with part of their production allocated to charitable work, in addition to Samira's display of her products of bags, utensils, wooden boxes and everything related to the natural wooden handicraft that she designs and takes time and effort from her .

Samira, who has practiced various handicrafts for more than forty years, finds, as she explained to SANA reporter, pleasure and happiness with work, as her work is not limited to the project, as she practices charitable work by chairing the Board of Directors of the White Hands Association.

Samira indicated that Lord's participation in the project does not carry any material goal for her, but through it she wants to highlight the role of women at work and confirm their active presence in society.

Meanwhile, the Director of Social Affairs and Labor, Bushra Jarbou, pointed out the importance of encouraging such projects because they support, empower and provide women with job opportunities.
