As is well known, there is a million dollar gap in the Wartenberg household.
Property and trade taxes are now being raised to the district average.
But is that enough?
Wartenberg - The finance committee spoke out on Monday for this.
Only Michael Gruber (SPD) voted against it.
The recommendation resolution provides for an increase from 300 to 340 percent of the tax base for property tax A, from 330 to 340 percent for property tax B and from 340 to 350 percent for trade tax.
For ten years, according to the administration, the assessment rates had remained stable.
The increase at that time was also due to tight budgets.
Now, according to the administration's estimate, roughly 150,000 euros more could flow into the administrative budget.
The market council makes the final decision.
There was agreement that the turning of the tax screw came at an inopportune time, but Nina Hieronymus (CSU) said: "It is a measure for self-help." Gruber, however, reminded that the administration had already been ruffed by the legal supervisory authority in 2017 have to work on the income side.
Mayor Christian Pröbst (CSU) had to put a question mark on whether the increases that are now targeted are sufficient, precisely because of that ruffle.
The decision was preceded by a consultation with the household, in which the saying “short and painless” did not fit at all. The market simply has no more money. As reported, many projects have to be pushed. "It's sad what I've had to cross out," said Pröbst. This is how the mayor commented on the financial planning.
Land acquisition has been completely canceled, firstly because nothing is currently in sight and secondly, further inflation of the expenditure side does not seem feasible.
The mandatory tasks have priority: The fire fighting group vehicle remains on schedule for 2023.
The sewer investigations have to be continued, according to the administration three quarters are already done.
The administrative budget must generate at least 573,000 euros.
That is the ordinary repayment.
Almost half a million euros is planned as an extraordinary repayment.
The market has wanted to do something at the war memorial for a long time, now an item of 2000 euros is planned, but also a meeting with the fruit and horticultural association - could he work there?
For a number of issue items for which nothing is planned for 2021, Pröbst had to comment: “I don't know where the money will come from.” This applies, for example, to the parking lot at Trachtenstadel, the funeral hall and the renovation of Eichenstrasse, the latter even estimated at one million euros.
A comment by Eduard Ertl (Neue Mitte) is taken up, who would like to rely more on building rights for house builders, because the ground rent flows into the administrative budget, but the increase in the value of the building site ultimately remains with the municipality.
According to Pröbst, how it should go on with medical care is a topic at the next meeting of the municipal council.
