An animated film on Anne Frank, the biopic dedicated to the rap group NTM and the latest film by Gaspar Noé have been added to the Official Selection of the 74th Cannes Film Festival, its organizers announced Thursday.
As expected, nine new films have been added to the slate shown last week, including the animated film
Where is Anne Frank?
, presented out of competition, by Israeli director Ari Folman, who electrified the Croisette in 2008 with
Waltz with Bachir
, then left empty-handed.

In midnight screenings, night owls will be able to discover two French films: the new opus by the Larrieu brothers, with their favorite actor Mathieu Amalric, as well as the biopic dedicated to the rap group NTM,

In the new Cannes Premieres section, intended for experienced directors, Gaspar Noé will present
Vortex
, with the cast of the Italian master of horror Dario Argento, who inspired him a lot. The Cannes Film Festival has yet to announce the film chosen to open Un Certain Regard and the one that will be screened during the last screening, after the prize list scheduled for July 17. The composition of the jury, chaired by the American Spike Lee, as well as the poster for this 74th edition have not yet been revealed.
