A 67-year-old woman surnamed Lin was killed by a truck in Yuen Long on the 31st of last month. The police today (10th) appealed to the public to provide information on the fatal traffic accident.
At about 2:50 pm on the 31st of last month, a 57-year-old man drove a light truck along an unnamed road north of Dangui Village. When he reached No. 311 near Dangui Village, he reportedly hit the Lin Fu and suffered serious head injuries. The coma was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment and was postponed to 10:48 pm the day before yesterday (8th) and was certified dead.
The male truck driver involved was arrested after the accident for dangerous driving causing death. He has been released on bail pending further investigation and must report to the police in early July.
The Special Investigation Team of the Transport Department of the New Territories North Region is following up the investigation.
